About the Role

You will play an integral part in developing and leading an effective Global Marketing & Product Strategy that supports the business key initiatives while positively driving brand awareness, consideration, market share growth and financial outcomes.

The role will require you to think creatively, be bold and communicate effectively when rolling out larger scale change opportunities. Your ability to manage the balance between art and science is pivotal to success and you are able to think through the impacts of decisions across departments and inspire the leadership team to think deeply about the future of the business and develop the right opportunities at the right time that pursue the brand vision, mission and goals.

This role and the tasks that will be undertaken are not cookie cutter or template structured. Boody requires a thought leader and change catalyst to push the brand towards new heights and compete in a cluttered market. We don't do boring. What You'll Do - Role Details

  • Develop and oversee the strategic execution and performance of Boody in multiple markets (AU, NZ, EU, and North America) and channels (wholesale, D2C and marketplace).
  • Integration of overarching global brand strategy into a localised brand strategy into AU and NZ, EU and North America to ensure full alignment exists as a global brand.
  • Establish and manage above-the-line and below-the-line marketing campaigns.
  • Build and lead a team of brand and creative thinkers and doers who work cross-function and execute specific marketing initiatives and campaigns across wholesale marketing, PR, social, affiliates, partnerships, influencers, TV, outdoor, plus a large focus on performance marketing.
  • Work with Boody’s international distributors to contribute to strategy, planning and implementation of trade marketing opportunities, in addition to sales growth across marketing, brand and product.
  • Financial management across brand and product departments, ensuring all activities are aligned with business and brand objectives, including budget management and allocation with a particular emphasis on profitable growth.
  • Reporting and analysis against industry benchmarks, budget and kpi’s to deliver on our marketing and product tactical roadmap.
  • Develop insights from analysis of market data, competitor intelligence, consumer research, and customer/retailer data to ensure we remain relevant across product and marketing.
  • Drive and deliver the long term product roadmap focusing on category opportunities that will give the brand the relevant market share required to grow while remaining true to our core focus in basic, affordable and sustainable essentials.
  • Develop and deliver the long term brand and marketing strategic direction that will drive global brand awareness.
  • Work cross-functionally to capitalise on trade marketing opportunities across the wholesale and distribution channels to ensure a strong brand recognition presence is maintained across all offline channels.

About You

Objectives aside, the greatest skill and value you will bring to the business is your ability to lead and develop a high performing brand and product team as well as ideate and prioritise opportunities, managing resources in line with the business strategy.

We’re searching for a generalist, that rare combination of someone who thrives on analysing numbers, mixed with a creative thinker and do-er. Above all, we’re looking for someone passionate about changing the apparel industry for the better. You’ll be getting in on the ground floor of a global opportunity, so it’s critical that you’re excited about growing with our team into new opportunities as we scale around the world. Prior experience with global expansion across the US and EU will be highly desirable.

You understand the e-commerce and retail landscape, have a strong passion for what you do and are constantly refining and adding to your toolkit. You have experience creating data-led forecasts and managing budgets, analysing results and driving growth.
