Position Objective

Newly created opportunity for an Operations and Planning Analyst to work as a key member of our Finance and Operations team to drive the business through a period of significant growth. This is a dynamic role in a fast-moving culture.

The role is multidisciplinary working across operations/logistics, demand planning, finance and business intelligence ensuring no day will be the same. The role will work closely with the Head of Finance and Operations to leverage data to plan our Australian and International demand and then execute on that plan. The role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, an understanding of international logistics mixed with a passion for driving great operational outcomes. 

We’re definitely no longer a startup, but we’re also not large enough to let red tape and office politics get in the way of our expectation of the huge impact every team member can have. Started in Sydney in 2013, our business spans health-focused independent retailers throughout Australia, as well as direct to consumer through boody.com.au, a number of select online marketplaces, and internationally through our distribution partners (we're now up to 10 countries)... and we're just getting started.

The Operations and Planning Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Finance and Operations team blending demand planning, logistics, data analytics, business intelligence and operations.

The role requires you to be able to quickly establish and maintain strong relationships, within our team and beyond, to identify needs, solve for opportunities and seek a full range of business recommendations and solutions to strategically and operationally enhance the function and performance of Boody. 


Global demand planning

  • Forecast international sales across multiple channels
  • Deliver inventory demand plans the drive supply chain decisions/ordering
Data strategy and systems management
  • Support the development and delivery of an organisational data strategy
  • Execution of the data strategy including cloud warehousing and visualisation tools
  • Stewardship of data integrity across Boody systems
  • Support the roll out of information systems across the organisation
International freight and logistics management
  • Approve freight bookings
  • Report out any delays or changes to the leadership team
  • Update internal systems as orders are placed and delivery dates are confirmed and/or adjusted
  • Manage check in of shipment at 3PL
  • Update internal systems after stock is checked in
  • Arrange ad hoc freight payments (concerning air freight)
Forecasting and analytics
  • Support budget and forecast requirements
  • Ad-hoc analysis to support decision making
  • International payments and supplier management
  • Invoicing of international partners for stock and royalties
  • Payment of global inventory suppliers
  • Create + Invoice out International Partner emergency stock orders
  • Arrange freight of International Partner emergency stock orders

Qualification Requirements

  • Degree qualified in a data related discipline
  • At least 3+ years professional experience in data or analytical roles
  • Exposure to international logistics preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Power BI/Tableau or other data visualisation experience
  • Experience in SQL 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
