Our skin-healthy products, including all threads, fabrics, zips and buttons, meet STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, an internationally recognised and independent body specialised in testing the skin safety of finished textile products. Boody products have successfully passed tests for harmful substances and contain no dangerous substances such as AZO dyestuffs, phthalates, formaldehyde, and extractable heavy metals. Those with sensitive skin and skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and contact dermatitis will be particularly pleased to know that all Boody garments carry the “Confidence in Textile” label.
The Forest Stewardship Council's label is the mark of responsible forestry. All bamboo involved in the production of Boody comes from FSC-certified forests that follow FSC-defined best practices throughout the production and supply chain. This means that the farming and harvesting of our bamboo fibre crops used to produce Boody do not contribute to natural habitat loss or destruction.
PETA Vegan Approved
With more than 6.5 million members and supporters worldwide, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organisation on the planet. We’re pleased to see that all Boody products are PETA Vegan Approved and certified, seeing that no animal products are used in the production of our garments (making it 100% vegan). We work with certified factories and suppliers to produce bamboo-rich clothing, but the bamboo used to produce our fabrics is not the same bamboo that pandas eat. Meaning no pandas have gone hungry in the creation of our clothing! See info on our EcoCert and and FSC certifications to learn more about our bamboo.
As part of the design process of all of our collections, SGS performs a thorough range of independent tests on garment samples to ensure fabric content and quality are in-line with the content on our labels, as well as regulatory standards. This ensures that our fabrics meet health and safety standards in each country in which we sell Boody.
