This is a dynamic role in a fast-moving culture.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, we are looking for a Financial Accountant with 3+ years experience, to lead the technical finance, FP&A functions and to support the business with commercial insights relating to the key North America and UK regions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your role will be to lead the technical finance and reporting requirements of the North America and UK regions. Ensuring internal controls, management of compliance and audit requirements as well as offering expertise in analysis and commercial decisions to make this role your own. 

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for North America and UK
  • Ownership of the North America and UK P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Reporting and analysis of month end performance drawing past and forward looking insights off P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Cash flow and treasury management
  • Contribution Margin Reporting
  • Management of compliance, tax, transfer pricing and audit, as well as being the point of liaison with external auditors
  • Management of 2 external bookkeepers 
  • Manage and oversee AP, AR, invoicing and reconciliations
  • Manage relationships with external financial partners
  • Inventory management with process in place to ensure accuracy, valuation and adequate controls
  • Identifying commercial insights and opportunities focused mainly around margin and expenditure
  • Finance systems lead

This role requires you to roll up your sleeves and take a hands-on approach to your work. You are comfortable working across all facets of accounting and finance. You're able to work independently, whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously, as well as be a strong team player, manager and collaborator.

You will be supremely organised. Overseeing two regions on the other side of the world will require your full focus and attention. You may be required to work outside regular hours from time to time – unfortunately your regions aren’t in the same time zone as we are – though there may be an opportunity for overseas travel to your regions. You may need to assist in-person with audits, reviews, stocktakes, meetings with external financial partners and/or operational partners.

You will be at the forefront of the growth engines for our business. After recently acquiring entities in North America and the UK it will be your responsibility to deliver their rapid and sustained growth in line with group objectives.

About You:

We’re searching for someone with a deep passion for what they do. You are passionate about product (our product specifically!) and are truly excited to shape the future of Boody’s product assortment.

We’re looking for someone who has 3+ years experience within Finance. You thrive in a dynamic and agile business environment, where things change and you’re kept on our toes. You’re comfortable being uncomfortable. 

You have the hard skills and have many years of experience in Excel, sheets and various ERP tools. You will have some experience in a North American or UK company and look forward your acquired experience in a rapid growth environment.
